Today we tried to go play in the swimming pool, but even though it was definitely hot enough to go swimming, the pool water was still too cold for Skylar. So, Skylar and Amy hung out beside the pool and soaked up some sun while I braved the cold water and sat on the steps. While walking back to the condo, Amy took some pics. Strangely enough, Skylar would only smile for the camera while we were moving.

Beach Fun

On Sunday we went over to the Isle of Palms and spent a couple of hours on the beach. It wasn't the first time Skylar had been to the beach, but it was the first time we had actually set up our stuff and stayed for an extended period of time since she's been old enough to actually notice her surroundings. She liked it, especially catching the wind in her her mouth and watching all of the other people. She lasted longer than we thought she would before she got tired and forced us to pack it in for the day.

I wonder if there's some stuff back there that I can put in my bucket?

Yummy Bananas!!

Skylar is now eating many regular foods, and one of her favorites is bananas. At first, she didn't like picking them up because they were mushy. But, now she loves picking up the small pieces and eating them.

My Valentines Day Present 4 My Moms

Grandma was nice enough to make me a present to give to my Moms for Valentine's Day. It is quite versatile, and I can do many things in my new bib.

This is my pretty new bib.

I can close my eyes in my new bib.

I can hold up five fingers in my new bib.....1-2-3-4-5.

I can hula dance in my new bib.

I can hold up both of my arms in my new bib.

I can hold up just one of my arms in my new bib.

I can hold on to stuff, like this blanket, in my new bib.

I can be really happy in my new bib.

I can be really serious in my new bib.

I can do a parade wave in my new bib.

And last, but not least, I can rock out and bop to music in my new bib

My Soldier Crawl

Skylar has started crawling, but it is not a normal baby crawl, it looks more like a soldier crawl. See her try to get Amy's cell phone in the video below.

It's Party Time!

Skylar went to her first birthday party today for her friend Lucy who turned one year old. She had lots of fun. She got to ride in a wagon with Lucy, which you can see on the video at the bottom of the blog. She also had good time playing with Lucy's toys and eating Cheerios. She tried a carrot cake cupcake and ate a little of it, but it was naptime, so we went home.
