All Dressed Up

Yesterday we all went over to the house of some new friends and Skylar wore her first dress...thanks for the sundress Grandma Campbell!

Forget the Pacifier....This Is Much Better!

Skylar somehow managed to get my finger in her mouth and when we tried to replace it with the pacifier she refused to take it and wanted my finger instead.

All Ducked Out!

Today was bath day for Skylar and afterwards she was pretty cold so we put her in her first pants outfit. Thanks Aunt Jennifer for the duck outfit, it's really warm!

Sleepin' Moms

Skylar decided she did not want to sleep much last night, so Amy and I were napping on and off all day long.

Quilt Time

First Walkabout

Yesterday we took our first walk around the neighborhood and introduced Skylar to some of our neighbors. She seemed to like the stroller and fell asleep before we got back home.

2 Week Update

Yesterday Skylar had her 2 week appointment. She is now weighing in at a whopping 9lbs 9oz, and has grown from 21 to 22 inches. For the outing she made an environmental statement in her Earth Day attire.

Stealing Riley's Thunder

Before Skylar, Riley was usually the subject of our impromptu photo sessions. Today I was trying to take some pictures of Skylar , but Riley was rather persistent about getting her picture taken too and not having her thunder stolen.

Staying Cool

Today Skylar went out on the town and took her Grandma Needelman to the airport. For the occasion she wore her super cool Ralph Lauren outfit that her Auntie Kristen and Emily bought for her. It was perfect for today because it was 96 degrees and REALLY HOTTTTT!

Bjorning It!

Skylar and I tried out the Baby Bjorn this morning. She seemed to like it for awhile, until she got fussy and wanted to go to sleep.

Calvin Klein Baby

No Thanks....I'll Hold It

Today Skylar decided she wanted to hold the bottle while Amy was feeding her.

Sleep-n-Smile

Skylar seems to be having very happy dreams. She hasn't smiled for us yet while awake, but when she's sleeping she gives us smiles a plenty.

First Bath

Yesterday Skylar got her first sponge bath since coming home. I don't think she cares much for the bath part, but she loves getting her hair washed and combed.

Bouncing Baby

Skylar tried out her rainforest bouncer today. I don't know how much she enjoyed it, but Riley certainly enjoyed giving her kisses on the face and feet.

Homecoming

Skylar came home last Sunday. Grandma and Grandpa Needelman and Riley were waiting for us when we got home. She also had her first doctor's appointment on Monday and received an all clear.

I'm Here! 5/29/08

So, we had settled in last Tuesday night to watch Hell's Kitchen and right before we found out who was getting eliminated Amy's water broke. After franticly running around the house, we went to the hospital to prepare for what would turn out to be 42 hours of labor. Amy was finally taken into the OR on Thursday, May 29th for a C-Section. Skylar finally decided to make her arrival at 4:05 PM. It turned out she was positioned brow first which made it virtually impossible for her to be born naturally. Her only war wound was a small rug burn type scratch on the tip of her nose. She was a HOSS...8lbs 13 oz and 21 inches. Oh, and she is of course the most beautiful baby ever born ;-)

Also, if anyone can tell us who got eliminated on Hell's Kitchen last week, we would appreciate it!
